What is Sea Moss?
Sea Moss is a richly nutritious sea plant, of the red seaweed group. It consists of nearly 10% protein and about 15% mineral matter, and is rich in iodine and sulfur. When softened in water Sea Moss has a sea-like odor, and because of the abundant cell wall polysaccharides, it will form a jelly when boiled, holding 20 -100 times its weight of water.

Where does the sea moss come from?
Common Gracilaria will come from the warm waters of Jamaica or St Lucia. Chondrus Crispus will come from the cold waters of Canada.
How long does it last?
I highly recommend using all of the gel within 3-4 weeks of receiving it.
Raw sea moss will last at least 1 year.
Can I freeze it?
Yes! Freezing the sea moss gel will extend the shelf life for an additional 2-3 months. Simply transfer your seamoss gel into a plastic container and put it in the freezer.
Where do I store my raw seamoss?
In a cool and dry place.
What water do you use to blend/soak the sea moss?
Distilled water! I choose to stay away from water that has added chemicals. Distilled water also helps with detoxing the body!
