Sarsaparilla is a tropical plant from the genus Smilax. The climbing and woody vine grows deep in the canopy of the rainforest. It’s native to South America, Jamaica, the Caribbean, Mexico, Honduras, and the West Indies.
Health Benefits of Sarsaparilla include:
- Potent anti-inflammatory. This factor makes it also a useful treatment for inflammatory conditions like joint pain and the swelling caused by gout.

Directions for use:
Bring to a boil 1-2 cup of water with a few pieces of Sarsaparilla Root based on the amount of tea that will be served.
Let steep for a few minutes.
For a stronger taste, use more sarsaparilla root when boiling.
Prepare hot and drink cold- an ideal thirst quencher.
